Objectives and Challenges
Technical Foam Services first began working with Click Consult in January 2010, with the primary objective being to increase brand awareness within the industry and generating more enquiries through their website. Working closely together Technical Foam Services and Click Consult put in place a complete SEO strategy with the aim of achieving high organic listings in the search engines.
Click Consult has also been working closely with Technical Foam to help with other areas of their marketing strategy. Click Consult has recently created an email marketing template for Technical Foam to send out to their database of contacts on a regular basis.
An additional part of the project was for Click Consult’s copywriting team to draft content for all main pages of their new website. Technical Foam Services really wanted our writers to capture the visitor’s imagination throughout the site, whilst remaining factual and informative. The websites content is of great importance to the company as it will inevitably play a major part in the process leading to an enquiry.
Results
With regards to rankings of targeted keywords we have seen an overall increase of 85% across the three major search engines, (Google, Yahoo & Bing) during the first 6 months of the project.
To date we have seen 65% of keywords targeted are now firmly positioned on page one and 86% have achieved pages 1 to 4, we can clearly see that this has had a substantial increase in the number of visits to the website.
Over the past 3 months;
Overall traffic increased by 242%, with the website reaching over 2500 visits in June 2010.
Google Organic Traffic increased by 333%, Yahoo increased by 362% and Bing by 266%.
We have seen an increase of 242% with the organic reach of the site. This is the number of keywords that drove organic traffic to the site. After revision of the website content and three months of optimisation, the number of keywords almost tripled.
The top performing organic keywords (not including brand) are:
- Foam Cut To Size
- Foam-Rubber
- Foam
These three keywords that are part of the main focus of the SEO project bring in over 20% of the visits to the site monthly. We hope to continue to see this figure increase as we rank higher and higher up the SERPs.
The percentage of page views has increased by over 40%; showing how the usability of the site has improved and customers are constantly looking at more and more of the site.
The rankings achieved by the SEO have subsequently increased the number of absolute unique visitors that have been directed to the site each moment. The number of unique visitors has by 113% from the start of the project.
The number of lead generations through the contact us form has tripled over the past three month period, an increase in conversion rate of 77%. This has subsequently had a positive effect on the number of sales made by Technical Foam Services during this period.
