Google > Google Analytics Deemed Secure Enough to Get US Federal Government Approval

Google have always worked hard to ensure the keep data obtained from websites & searches as secure as possible. This week all their efforts have paid off and reaped great reward, The US Federal General Services Administration or better known as the GSA has approved listing Google Analytics in their apps.gov web site. The apps.gov site is used by government agencies and services to find GSA approved cloud computing applications.
The websites goal is to drive innovation and adoption of cloud-based applications in the government. Google has worked with the GSA to ensure that the widely used Google analytics application is compatible with the needs of the United States Federal agencies like the Department of Homeland Security, NASA, FCC and many others.
Phil Mui the senior Product Manager at Google Analytics has said they are very proud and humbled by the listing whilst being excited by the potential opportunities to serve the United States Federal agencies and to help them monitor and improve their website experiences. He also went on to say that at Google they understand that working with the United States Federal Agencies includes a responsibility to protect their users and they will take this opportunity to further explain how seriously Google Analytics takes data security and protecting data privacy for their users.
Google are gratified that the United States Federal GSA has approved the listing of Google Analytics in its apps.gov site and have confirmed they will continue to work hard to ensure that they earn this approval in years to come.
