Google Adwords announced that users will now have the ability to add goals and seller ratings. The two new additions to the program were introduced on Monday, 28th June as part of Google’s aim to provide potential customers with the most relevant information when searching on Google.com.
Last year Google introduced ‘product extensions’ which enables advertisers to include products pictures and prices under their adverts. The first new addition means that advertisers will now be able to set goals and will appear in the ‘Opportunities tab’ within Adwords allowing users to set three types of goals.
The first goal option that can be set is to either maintain or decrease cost, the second goal allows the advertiser to set a goal to increase traffic by identifying ideas that can help attract more traffic at varying cost levels and thirdly advertisers can set a goal to balance cost and traffic which will allow the user to review a mix of ideas to either increase traffic or decrease costs.
Advertisers will be able to change these goals as and when and Google will also offer different suggestions and ideas to match advertisers goals.
The second addition to the program is the ‘seller ratings extensions’ which is a new product extension which is displayed in the Adwords ads. This will help searchers identify high-rated merchants. The ratings are drawn from review sites across the web Google has said and will only show if an advertiser has at least 30 reviews and 4 or more stars.
The new additions to Adwords will only be available to English-language users searching on Google.com for now.
