Google Insights – Wimbledon in the top spot

Based on this morning’s figures, Wimbledon is the search term that has seen the most significant growth over the last seven days according to Google Insights. Google Insights allows you to compare search volume patterns using specific criteria such as time frames, regions and categories.
People are searching for the latest news or information about the oldest tennis championship in the world, using the terms “Wimbledon” and “Wimbledon 2010″ which has seen these two terms reach first and second places on Google Insights. “BBC Sport” is also in this week’s top ten, coming in at position nine.
In third and fourth place are “ENEM 2010″ and “ENEM”, which is the abbreviation for “Exame Nacional do Ensino Médio”. This is used by many Brazilian high schools to determine a student’s level of education. Next place is Turkish learning body “aöf” in fifth position and Michael Jackson” takes sixth place with fans commemorating the singer on the one-year anniversary of his death on June 25.
Apple’s iPhone jumps into seventh and tenth places with the terms “iPhone 4″ and “iPhone.”
“Eclipse” is in eighth place which has become a popular search term over the last week as fans of the cult films were looking for information on the latest film in the “Twilight Saga”
