New research has recently revealed that a number of the UK’s main fashion brands have lost search engine visibility.
This study that has been completed by an Internet Marketing group, has shown that only 12 websites were placed within organic results for just over 10 per cent of keywords that were related to the fashion industry during February 2010.
Womenswear dominated these results with more than 50 percent of these queries, while menswear just picking up 17 percent of related keyword searches.
Final results have shown that the top three fashion brands that have achieved consistent results for paid sponsored links for February 2010 were Debenhams, House of Fraser and finally ASOS.
For the last quarter IMRG-Hitwise Hot Shops listings have shown that the most popular online retailers for the UK in relation to website hits were Argos, Play, Amazon.com, Apple and the UK arm of Amazon, Amazon.co.uk.
