SEO is a wonderful form of internet marketing, it allows companies to have fixed budgets, and harness the marjority of the available traffic. In this blog post I am going to define the differences between the long tail of search, and the short tail.
Long Tail of Search:
The long tail of search is quite easy to define, it is usually over 4 words within a keyphrase or very specific, for example if a user was looking for a clutch for a ford focus 1.8 tddi, they would typically type in either ford focus tddi clutch or ford focus 1.8 tddi clutch.
Generic Search
In a generic search, the keyword may be clutch, clutches. It must be noted it usually very beneficialy as there is a lot more traffic on the generic term, however you must have the range to match the varied traffic, as well as prices to convert!
