White Hat Techniques that Work

In the world of SEO it pays to be above board, honest and informed. Even if you are hiring an expert to undertake your campaign for you, it pays to stay involved. Using ethical SEO techniques will help you gain exposure. It will also help you stay in front of the opposition and stay in tune with current trends.
Navigation
If you are providing easy way to navigate your site you are instantly ahead. If visitors can find clearly marked avenues to click through and which spiders can follow you will be helping them index your text and links. It will also alleviate any frustration and irritation and will encourage repeat visits.
Links from other websites
Popular links that point to your site will increase your popularity. The way to do this is by finding websites which offer similar content and high link popularity. However you don’t want to encourage links from direct competitors. If you have found good links that point to your WebPages you must then provide good content s that you are able to keep your audience interested. The longer they stay on your site is an indication to search engines of how popular your site is.
Individualize Tags
Individualizing both title and Meta tags give you a good chance of higher rankings. Title tags in particular are important for rankings. Meta tags although not so important still provide a way to clarify search results. Meta descriptions are also still used by some search engines spiders as default text for search results. Keyword tags hold little weight but it is still important to include them. Search engines change their algorithms consistently and one can never be sure when or if any otherwise unimportant tags might once again become important.
White hat SEO is aimed at making sure that your website is ranked high enough to be considered relevant. If it is ignored and unethical or black hat techniques are employed instead, you run the risk of being ignored or buried so deep nobody will be able to find you. Worse still you run the risk of being banned from search engine result pages completely.
White Hat Content
White hat content does not employ methods such as keyword stuffing, cloaking, hidden text or duplicate content. These are considered black hat techniques.
It is about how you use keywords, where you place them and the ratio between them and the body of content. White hat content is aimed at the human reader; it is not aimed at search engine spiders. However in order to satisfy spiders it needs to follow a few rules.
First content should be unique and interesting. It should be updated regularly and should be easy to navigate the links it contains. Content should be written well in terms of grammar and spelling and must be relevant to the title. Keywords should be randomly and creatively placed instead of flagrant. Content has to be relevant to the services or products being offered.
