Domain names and SEO

How do domain names affect search engine optimisation? We know that domain names can create great brand recognition. In effect, most Web based brands almost comprised almost entirely of the domain name. Domaining has now become a multimillion dollar industry. People are beginning to realise the inherent value of a good domain nam, investing much into a marketing exercise that has come to define Internet marketing.. Classical SEOs are now beginning to take notice of this lucrative business.
Domains can have multiple effects on online marketing and branding. A catchy, easy to remember domain name can result in high type in traffic. Type in traffic refers to visits from people that type the website’s URL directly into the browser, coming to the website without following any links.
Domains also have SEO ramifications. Some SEOs like Aaron Wall are of the opinion that keywords in domain names can result in high rankings in the SERPS. Certainly, it does help.
