Online Press releases are a powerful tool in the SEM arsenal. Press releases are great for building brand awareness, traffic and linking. Many businesses today are not utilizing the great advantages to be had through online press releases.

So what is a press release? An online press release is not like a news article which are normally aimed at the general public, but more an article for the purpose of online/offline journalists to inform them of news within a specific industry.

Many online press releases are taken on by journalists and recreated for print within newspapers and magazines. Online press tends to create a viral effect online, spreading news within channels such as Google news, MSN news & Yahoo news, as well as social bookmarking sites.
