Take the human view on SEO

We all know search engine optimisation is about keywords, strategic placement of Meta tags, web content and addressing your target audience. Optimising for search engines mean feeding the web crawlers with fresh content, appealing keywords etc. Unfortunately the search engine crawlers are not going to buy your products or make use of your services.
To make your business profitable and successful you need to get the human visitors to like what you offer. So take a long and hard look at your website and ask yourself if you are giving your web traffic the answers they came seeking. If the answer is no, you are in a world of trouble. Visitors want information and they want valuable information, or you can wave them good bye. Web users have learned that if your website is unsatisfactory, they can find answers elsewhere.
What do visitors want?
First of all, they do not want to be bombarded with irritating flashing advertisements. They are neither blind nor simple-minded. They have come to your website for specific reasons and they want their needs met. So if you have crammed your website full of advertisements and stock standard product advertisement blurbs, it is utterly meaningless to your website visitors. They want answers to questions, they want highly informative product information and they want fresh and informative content on a regular basis. Remember you cannot demand the respect and trust of your website visitors, you have to earn it. The only way to earn it is to give them value.
Many ways to please your visitors
A frequently asked questions section is crucial for people who want answers to common questions with short, compact answers. Then the very questions commonly asked needs to be turned into in-depth and informative articles. This is for the visitors who want detailed information. These same articles can be used for article directories and blogs by doing rewrites of them that avoids them being labelled as duplicate content. Once your visitors see that you have total understanding of their questions and you provide solutions, they will trust you as an expert.
Another way to give your visitors value and answer their questions is through visuals. Video has become a popular way to not only tell, but show visitors the solutions they came looking for. Make it as easy as possible for your web visitors to find the information they want and provide them with ways to contact you for further information. Allow your visitors to interact with you through a feedback section. Then take notice of the feedback and use it as opportunities to provide them with further information through fresh content.
Perfect balance
Good SEO is not only about search engines and marketing; it is possible to apply SEO techniques to everything on your website. The magic happens when you do it in such a way that it is simply part of the website without detracting for your visitor’s experience. Any SEO expert worth his salt is able to optimise and at the same time keep web visitors happy.
