More and more businesses are choosing to run a search engine optimisation campaign but some of these campaigns are not as effective and productive as they should be. One huge problem which will stop an SEO campaign developing appropriately is using inappropriate SEO techniques. The third thing which can hold an SEO campaign back substantially is a lack of consistency. SEO is a continuous process and demands continuous attention and effort. You need to be using SEO techniques indefinitely, monitoring the performance of these methods and monitoring the search environment too. You have to be constantly aware of all major developments taking place within SEO such as SEO technology, searcher behaviour and the actions of competitors. If you are not consistent with your SEO campaign and do not devote the time and effort it needs, your campaign will not develop appropriately and make a significant contribution to your company.
