Unethical black hat SEO professionals make promises of amazing results methods of this kind can achieve with minimum time, effort and cost and this can be tempting.

Whilst occasionally a black hat technique can make a little difference, any positive results achieved will not last. The search engines do not accept black hat SEO and are constantly developing new technology to overcome these SEO methods. Those that choose to use black hat SEO techniques will be punished with low rankings and a damaged reputation.

Another common mistake made by business owners when running an SEO campaign is they concentrate on just one SEO technique. They read a certain SEO method has produced promising results for others, decide it will be useful for their business and dedicate their time and effort to it.
