Which SEO company can I trust?

Once you have decided that you want to bring the professionals in to maximise your sales potential and raise your business profile online, then choosing the right Search Engine Optimisation company can be difficult. There are so many options out there that the choice can be bewildering, and sadly, some SEO Companies are not giving the Search Engine Optimisation industry a good name.

SEO companies who make promises to customers that they will get their business to first place on all search engine results pages within a few months are making promises that they cannot possibly keep when using ethical SEO techniques. By its very nature, Search Engine Optimisation is a long-term strategy because trust and authority has to be built between the site and the search engines in order for them to recommend users to your website. There are no absolute guarantees in ethical SEO because search engines keep their search criteria (algorithms) close to their chest and constantly evolve to bring ever more relevant and reliable results to their users. A good SEO company uses their experience of tried and tested Search Engine Optimisation techniques whilst also keeping abreast of the latest developments and innovating new and creative ideas.

If some SEO companies are promising undeliverable results to customers then clearly this begins to reflect badly on the industry as a whole. At SEO Consult, often our new customers will come to us having been previously dissatisfied with another company’s attempts to optimise their website for search engines. There must be many more who are unwilling to trust any SEO company at all after they feel that they have been let down by a poor Search Engine Optimisation consultant and they give up on their Internet Marketing entirely.

Finding out whether an SEO Company is reputable or not is possible with a little bit of research. Firstly, try looking on their company website for customer testimonials. Are there any customers you have heard of? Try searching for independent reviews of the SEO company and read about how customers feel about them and the services that they offer. Look at the SEO company’s results for their own site and their client’s sites if possible. An SEO company who can’t get their own website onto the first page of search results for industry search terms is unlikely to be able to do the same for yours. How long has the Search Engine Optimisation company been around? A company with a few years of experience is more likely to have the networks and resources in place to bring real results in a reasonable timeframe, although the age of a company is never the only marker that it should be judged by.

There are reputable and trustworthy SEO companies out there who want to develop the best strategy for your success and offer transparent Search Engine Optimisation services which keep you updated and informed throughout the length of the campaign, so that you can see exactly how your website and business is benefiting from their work.

    Of course some companies are trustable, but what about those wich promise results? The only thing that you can trust is, that they will try to do their best.
