SEO positioning can be likened to a game of war. Everyone wants to win and the stakes are high, but to win one has to ultimately deploy tactics and strategies and employ ethical practices at all times.

Become master of your environment

It is important to know what the game is about, and who is competing with and against you. Mastering your environment is all about knowing your industry and identifying who is sharing it with you and then adapting your strategy to suit that. Being able to produce results and attract traffic to your site entails coming up with something different from that of your competitors.

Your content has to produce results in order to gain and sustain a top SEO position. The more you polish and specialise your text the more likely you will be to grow your brand awareness and increase your rate of coversion. It is imperative that you create content which will have the greatest impact. Specialising your content will elevate your standing amongst your peers and clients.

Use whatever methods you can get your hands on. There is a huge variety of proven methods available today which will help you attain high SEO positioning. Deep links for one. But, apart from getting top SEO Positioning, remember that you have to stay there and this means you have to keep feeding your pages a healthy diet of content and good links so that they will remain relevant to those who are searching for your product, or information on your subject.

Defend your space

The minute you rank for competitive keywords you need to start defending yourself.
There is a phase in time when your site will be vulnerable and this is during its initial stage so it is very important that you keep on searching for that keyword which will become the biggest, reddest, juiciest cherry in the bowl.

Increase your opporunities for attaining SEO positioning by increasing the pages you have on a particular topic. The more information that can be found the higher probability that someone will find it and keep the buzz alive surrounding your product.

Survive

Competition is going to be fierce while you are getting to the top and once you have arrived there defending your position gets even tougher, remember that there is probably a few million other sites vying for the same position. It really is all about creating that one page with that one solid link to create relevance and maintain SEO Rankings.

What will help you gain the trust of search engines is the age of your site. Trust is created if search engines can spider your site every day. The content on your site must be topical and your linking relationship is crucial too, but keep in mind that link velocity should be reduced as you climb higher in the rankings because it is about quality over a period of time instead of quantity in the shorter space of time.

Without traffic there would be no need to have a website and traffic can make or break you. Providing content which ‘speaks’ to your audience will ensure that they will endorse your site with their time and with their business.
