Bing should not make anyone jittery

Website owners have many questions about the newest search engine; Bing. Yes, Bing is very new and at as such is no threat presently for Google. What most people want to know is whether they will have to optimise separately for Google and for Bing and Yahoo. What does matter is that people are inquisitive and even if they are comfortable searching with Google, they will go see what Bing is all about.
It is also understandable that website owners want answers as online business is extremely competitive. In the tight economic climate the world is facing at present, staying competitive is everything if a business hopes to stay afloat. Always remember that the basics of good and ethical SEO work everywhere, no matter which of the search engines are being used. So if optimisation for Bing is being planned, keeping to the basics will get you there every time.
URLs
It has been established that Bing likes URLs that contain your keyword. For new websites this means choosing a website name that incorporates your keywords. For established websites this is not possible, therefore it is crucial that your META title tags carry that very important keyword or keyword phrase. If you get your primary keyword into your website name and META title tag you do not have to use your keyword overly in your web content. This means your content will read naturally and never be accused of being spam.
Linking
Links are still as important as ever, but shift your focus away from reciprocal links and concentrate on getting a good number of one way links. Get some well written and informative articles into article directories as this will build you good one way links. The key here is well written articles as nobody is going to be interested in mediocre and generalised articles.
The secret of the best written content articles is to address your target market in their own style of language. Your articles for link building purposes must not talk over or beneath your target market or your efforts will be lost. Thus if you want the best link building articles, know who your target market is, what they think, how they speak and what they like.
Content
Bing is exactly as hungry for lots of content and the fresher, the better. Bing’s MSN bots want plenty of content that is added to regularly so that the bots can come read and index your web pages. The MSN bots want fully optimised content exactly like all the other search engines. This does not mean you have to completely redo each of your web pages each time; you can tweak and change things to keep it fresh.
When the MSN bots find fresh content, they come back soon, so you have to keep feeding them and this push your ranking up the ladder. Bing might have a few different tastes than the other search engines, but it is still all about good SEO practices. Any optimising you do for Bing will bring you great results with all the other search engines as well.
