Broken Websites And SEO Damage Control

Why do websites ‘break’ in the first place? A broken website can be attributed to a host of reasons for instance broken links on your site which add no value to your site and makes browsing difficult. Loss of reputation due to negative feedback could be another reason for a broken website, or having your search results invaded by malicious issues.

However, you may have inadvertently breached the guidelines of a search engine or you have failed to follow some procedures that are required if you are to be listed in their database. Whatever the reason a broken website constitutes your pages being excluded from the databases of search engines and they will stop referring visitors to your website. Plus a broken website creates the illusion that your business is also broken. In fact a broken website is never good for SEO.

Search engine spiders will not even bother with your website if your links are broken instead they will report that your site is not working which equates to ‘broken’. You won’t get your site listed in the top search engines because nobody will bother with you.
